    FAVORITE FAST KEYBOARD SHORTCUTS

    Keyboard shortcuts speed work by keeping fingers on keys, not mouse & menu clicks.
    The Ctrl (Control), Shift, or Alt keys are held down while pushing one or more keys.
    F1-F12 are Function Keys, normally on the top keyboard row.

    F4 repeats the last action, in most cases, Ctrl-Y also repeats.
    Ctrl-Z undo the last action, in most cases.
       
    Ctrl-C copies selected (highlighted) cells, rows, columns, or areas.
    Ctrl-V pastes a copied selection.
    Ctrl-X cuts a selection, deletes once pasted instead of just copying.
       
    Ctrl-Shift-End selects data from current position to end, some anomolies.
    Ctrl-Shift-Arrows select & move up/down/left/right quickly through data regions.
       
    Ctrl-Tab scrolls through any open Excel files, Alt-Tab through programs.
    Ctrl-Home returns to beginning of worksheet.
    Ctrl-End jumps to the end of worksheet data, some anomolies.
    Ctrl-Arrows move up/down/left/right quickly through data regions.
    Ctrl-Page Up moves to previous worksheet, Ctrl-Page Down the next.
       
    Ctrl-B bolds or removes bold for the font in a selection.
    Ctrl-I italics or removes italics for the font in a selection, Ctrl-i not L.
    Ctrl-U underlines or removes underlining for the font in a selection.
    Ctrl-1 format menu for cells appears, fonts, borders, backgrounds, etc.
    Ctrl-Shift-& borders are placed around the selection, Ctrl-Shift-_ removes borders.
       
    Ctrl-Shift-~ general format for cells (100% becomes 1), tilde ~ key.
    Ctrl-Shift-% percentage format for cells (1 becomes 100%).
    Ctrl-Shift-# date format for cells (36891 becomes 31-Dec-00).
       
    Shift-F12 Saves active file.
    F12 SaveAs dialog box appears, also Alt-F2.
    Ctrl-F12 Open dialog box appears.
       
    F2 edits the active cell, similar to clicking in formula bar at top.
    Alt-Enter carriage returns within a cell, if cursor is in formula bar or after using F2.
       
    F7 spellcheck menu appears.
    CTRL-P print menu appears.
    Shift-F11 inserts a new worksheet, also Alt-Shift-F1.
